WE ARE THE
CAROLINE LIVIAKIS DANCE COMPANY
Uniting commercial and concert dance.
Integrating theatricality and technical movement.
Conveying deep thought through enjoyable performance.
We believe that dance should be more than just clichéd, vacuous movement designed only to serve as background in a music video. We also believe dry, disconnected, monotonous and lengthy performances aren’t the most exciting or tangible way to explore philosophical ideas.
That’s where we come in…
The Caroline Liviakis Dance Company, established in December of 2016, is quickly becoming one of the more provocative, yet relatable dance companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Caroline Liviakis’ mission as Artistic Director is to create work that welcomes everyone into the artistic circle, while challenging audiences to be thoughtful and critical. She aims to prove that logical flow and thoughtfulness can coexist with entertainment through dance.

BOLD NEW VISION
“At the point of any V-formation is the leader – The Tip of the Spear. For the Caroline Liviakis Dance Company, it’s Ms. Liviakis herself.
One of our young, emerging, new artistic directors to grace our festival [Movement Arts Festival] for January. Hot off her 2017 home season this past Fall at SAFEhouse Arts (1 Grove) – where she fused ultra hip modern dance with multimedia art projections – Ms. Liviakis is designing a duet to span across the entire large marble floor behind our Main Altar.”
